FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY (FEMA)

How can I donate or volunteer?

  • You can find vetted non-profit organizations supporting COVID-19 here.
  • Trained medical volunteers can donate services here.
  • If you have medical supplies or equipment to donate, please email FEMA’s National Business Emergency Operations Center at nbeoc@fema.dhs.gov.
  • Adequate supplies of blood are needed to treat patients in hospitals, but many blood drives have been cancelled. Donating blood is a safe process; to find where you can donate blood, visit redcross.org.

How can my company donate or sell medical supplies, services, and equipment?

  • To sell medical supplies or equipment to the federal government, please submit a price quote under the COVID-19 PPE and Medical Supplies Request for Quotation. Full details can be found in the solicitation (Updated Notice ID 70FA2020R00000011). This solicitation requires registration with the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be considered for award, pursuant to applicable regulations and guidelines. Registration information can be found at www.sam.gov. Registration must be “ACTIVE” at the time of award.
  • If you have medical supplies or equipment to donate, please provide us details on what you are offering through our online medical supplies and equipment form at https://www.fema.gov/covid19offers.
  • If you are interested in doing business with FEMA and supporting the response to COVID-19 with your company’s non-medical goods and/or services, please submit your inquiry to the Department of Homeland Security’s Procurement Action Innovative Response (PAIR) team at DHSIndustryLiaison@hq.dhs.gov.

INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE (IRS)

I’m not able to file taxes in time or need assistance with filing given the current circumstances.

  • The deadline to file and pay taxes has been extended to July 15, 2020.

How much aid can my family and I expect from the Coronavirus, Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act?

  • A one-time tax-free recovery rebate of $1,200 is available to every American with a valid social security number whose income is at or below $75,000. That’s $2,400 per married couple, with an extra $500 per child. That assistance is reduced for those earning between $75,000 – $99,000, and ends at $99,000. Income amounts are determined based on 2019 tax returns, if filed, or 2018 returns. For seniors and individuals with disabilities, the IRS will identify beneficiaries using SSA-1099 and RRB-1099 information.

I receive Social Security benefits. Am I eligible for the rebate?

  • Yes, the $1,200 rebate is available to those with no income, as well as those whose income comes entirely from Social Security benefits.

Do I need to do anything to receive the rebate?

  • For the vast majority of Americans, no action is required in order to receive a rebate check.
