Work Eligible for Public Assistance Policy allows for assistance to eligible PA applicants for the purchase of personal protective equipment (PPE) for first responders. The Applicant’s SCBA regulator facepieces, regulator assemblies, and particulate barrier hoods are not comparable to PPE described in the Work Eligible for Public Assistance Policy that eliminates or mitigates an immediate threat from COVID-19.

The Applicant has not demonstrated that the purchased supplies were necessary to eliminate or lessen an immediate threat resulting from COVID-19. Therefore, the appeal is denied.
