Immediate Threat, Snow Assistance

Immediate Threat

HEADNOTES

For severe winter storm declarations that do not specifically authorize snow assistance, FEMA only provides Public Assistance funding for limited snow-related activities that are necessary to perform otherwise eligible work. The Applicant’s claimed costs were not directly tied to the performance of snow removal work necessary to carry out eligible emergency protective measures.

CONCLUSION

The Applicant’s costs are not directly tied to the performance of eligible emergency protective measures and are therefore ineligible for Public Assistance funding. Accordingly, this appeal is denied.
